Thinking of exhibiting at the gallery?
Dark Gallery CPH is an independent, artist-run gallery where our partners exhibit, curate and develop projects throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming part of the gallery, you can learn more about our partner programme on the How to Join page.
We also welcome proposals from external artists, artist organisations, exhibition spaces, galleries and other organisations looking for a space to exhibit or host an event in Copenhagen.
Projects should centre on photography, film and/or sound art, although interdisciplinary approaches are welcome.
Gallery Exchange Programme
Our Gallery Exchange Programme connects Dark Gallery CPH with other artist-run galleries and exhibition spaces.
You can exhibit free of charge at our gallery in exchange for hosting an exhibition or project featuring artists from our gallery at your own space.
If you are an artist or artist collective without a permanent exhibition space, you can also take part in our Gallery Exchange Programme. All we ask is that you actively arrange an exhibition opportunity for our gallery partners in return.
We take no commission on artwork sales during your exhibition.
Renting the gallery
Individual artists, organisations and businesses can also hire the gallery for exhibitions, workshops and other events.
You manage the sale of artworks, workshop tickets and merchandise directly and keep 100% of the revenue.
Rental prices
- One-day exhibition with reception: DKK 2,500 + VAT
- Two-day exhibition with reception: DKK 3,500 + VAT
- One-week exhibition with reception: DKK 6,500 + VAT
- Two-week exhibition with reception: DKK 10,800 + VAT
- Workshops and other events: Please enquire

What is included?
- Promotion of your exhibition through our social media channels
- Staffing during regular opening hours
- Cleaning of the gallery
- Assistance with hanging and takedown of your exhibition*
*One day is allocated to hanging. Takedown same evening of closing.
What is not included?
- Snacks and beverages
- Visual material for social media
- DJ-entertainment
- Professional photographic documentation of your exhibition or events
- Staffing during agreed extended opening hours
